Freetown

A review copy was provided

Caught in the middle of a brutal civil war, six Liberian missionaries in Monrovia flee the widespread violence of their native country.

Their destination: Freetown, Sierra Leone.

With the help of local Church leader Phillip Abubakar (Henry Adofo), the missionaries make the difficult journey only to have their troubles compounded by a rebel fighter bent on killing one of
their own.

Based on true events, Freetown is a thrilling and inspiring story of hope and survival.

My Review
I absolutely LOVE movies based on true accounts!

And when it is portrayed as well as this one is you really feel the emotions of the people involved!

As you watch this show you will realized that we take SO MUCH for granted--

I cannot even imagine having to flee for your safety--possibly even your life.

And to watch people gunned down right in front of you--

And then to watch the faith of these missionaries-- they just wanted somewhere they could teach.

So many miracles took place for them to make it to Freetown that at one point they realized that they could doubt no longer-- the Lord would continue to bless them.

I was intrigued that even on the run these missionaries still found ways to share the gospel.

On the back car window there is a scripture reference of Mark 9:24

When I looked it up this is what I found:

"And straightway the father of the child cried out,
and said with tears, Lord, I believe;
help thou mine unbelief."

This movie theme shows just that-- no matter how bad it gets we just have to keep moving forward and have hope in the future.

A PHENOMENAL FILM!
SO WORTH SEEING!
I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND IT!
